What we offer
Donny's Brick Esthetics specializes in a unique way of creating Lego mosaics, where the plates are facing upward. This technique of placing Lego plates creates a much more detailed picture with the same amount of square footage.
In a single square foot of a Lego mosaic painting, you are allotted 32 1x1 Lego plates in a square fashion, going up and sideways. A single square foot of building Lego paintings Donny's way allows 32 1x1 plates that are placed upright and allows 80 plates going upwards. This new way of building Lego Painting Mosaics allows for more than double the pixels in your painting, allowing for a more detailed illustration.
The picture above illustrates the difference between how normal Lego mosaics are made and the technique displayed to make them. The square footage of the "Donny's Building" illustration shows that this technique allows smaller piece facing for the painting, allowing more detail per square foot.
To the right is an illustration demonstrating how regular Lego mosaics vs. how Donny's Lego Painting Mosaics turn out. Using this technique allows much more detail for your personalized illustration needs.

About "Donny"
"I started building with Legos for as long as I can remember. My older siblings received old sets like the Castle System and Pirate Island set from the late 80's. Not much time passed until everyone's Lego bricks became mixed into a Lego tub. That Lego tub has been a creative outlet for me to this day. I was a part of my local 4-H fair from 8 years of age all the way until I graduated high school. I received 4 Best of Show awards for competing in Lego building competitions under 4-H.
After I graduated high school, I decided to join the military and contracted as a Rescue Swimmer for the United States Navy. I served for 4 and a half years and discharged honorably, moving to Springfield, MO. I started attending school to pursue my Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering.
Amidst my school and studies, I decided to compete in Lego competitions once again which reignited my passion for Lego building. For a Lego pixel art competition class, I decided to try something completely new that I've never seen done before. We were given a 2 by 2 foot maximum requirement for our Lego pixel art illustrations. I knew that I wanted more space to have a more detailed painting, so I decided to come up with a new technique that maneuvered the rules of pixel art. From this experience, I created this technique of Lego Mosaic building that changed the game of personalized Lego Mosaics forever!
This is a huge passion of mine and I am thoroughly excited to share my creativity to support your Lego, art and business passions!"
